Three rules that keep the numbers clear

Estimated

Estimated until it is final

Every financial figure is labelled Estimated until the month is closed. Closing the month turns it into a final figure.

Says what is missing

A completeness note explains why a figure may be off, for example “salaries not yet recorded for April, so this estimate is high”.

Explains itself

The number explainer shows the formula, the inputs and any data gaps behind a figure. Same definitions everywhere, and no AI involved.

Finance & Profitability

A clear money picture for the owner and the accountant: revenue, collections, what is still owed, and an estimate of profit that says what is missing.

What it shows

  • Net revenue, collections, outstanding, GST collected and refunds
  • Expenses and an estimated P&L with a completeness note
  • Room-charge transfer reconciliation
  • Cash difference noted at every shift close

Offline and UPI

The number explainer

Tap the question mark on a figure and Mezbaan shows how it was calculated: the formula, the inputs, the period, and anything that is missing. The same fixed definition is used in the dashboard, the Excel export and the nightly summary.

The explainer uses no AI. It reads the metric definition and the data behind it, so the answer is the same every time.

The Banyan Grand, RevPAR tonightIllustrative sample data

How this number is calculated

RevPAR = room revenue ÷ rooms available
Room revenue, 25 rooms sold₹1,21,500
Rooms available32
RevPAR, tonight₹3,797

Night audit posts tonight’s room charges at 02:00, so this figure is provisional. Out-of-order rooms count as available, by owner choice.

Also in the dashboards

  • Restaurant dashboards for Mezbaan Rasoi, basic food cost and stock alerts
  • Drill-downs, filters and item profitability
  • Month close, budgets and alerts
  • Per-unit P&L with shared-cost allocation
  • Tally and Zoho Books exports and a GST sales register
  • Campaign results and engagement scoring
  • Ask Munshi about your figures, in English, Hindi or a mix of both

See the dashboards with your own numbers in mind.

Tell us how your hotel or restaurant runs today, and we will walk you through what Mezbaan would show you each night.
