The name

Mezbaan is Hindi and Urdu for the host. It names the person the product serves: the owner who welcomes every guest, checks the register at night and wants to be remembered for both.

The Mezbaan symbol: two pomegranate hands forming an M around a turmeric flame above a green diya bowl
  • Two cupped hands rise and curve in like palms turned to receive. Where they meet, they form the M of Mezbaan.
  • The diya flame is the lamp a host lights for arriving guests.
  • The bowl grounds the flame under the hands: the classic Indian image of welcome.

Built for owner-run businesses

Independent hotels with roughly 10 to 100 rooms and owner-run restaurants, especially in tourist towns. These businesses often run on registers and disconnected tools, so room charges miss the folio and numbers never match. Mezbaan brings owners and staff onto one account, without an IT team.

How a pilot works

Start with a demo, then run your property on Mezbaan with our team alongside you.

  1. Step 1

    A demo for your business

    We learn how your property runs today and where the tools get in the way, and show Mezbaan for your business type.

  2. Step 2

    Set up your workspace

    • Owner phone and email verified
    • GSTIN, invoice series and tax settings, confirmed with your accountant
    • Rooms, rates, menu and tables
    • Your WhatsApp number and payment gateway, once connected
    • Staff trained in two sessions
  3. Step 3

    Run the business on Mezbaan

    Run your hotel, restaurant or hotel with its own restaurant on Mezbaan. A review on day 14 looks at how far the property already runs on it.

Support

Support can open your workspace only with your approval, for a limited scope and time, and every screen viewed is logged. Support tickets carry a response target of 15 minutes when billing is down.

Good to know before you start

WhatsApp messages and online payments start once the WhatsApp provider and payment gateway are connected. Pilot terms and plans are agreed with each business, and Vertex Summit invoices the subscription.

Your data stays yours

Each business is an isolated tenant, its guest data stays with the business, and dashboards export to Excel.

Privacy as a design goal

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection rules are being phased in for businesses. Mezbaan is designed with them in mind:

  • consent recorded with time, place and wording, and marketing kept off without it;
  • access, correction and erasure requests tracked to their deadlines;
  • contact details masked for staff who do not need them, and ID documents encrypted;
  • support access only with the owner’s approval, limited in time and logged.

These are design goals, not certifications or a legal assessment. Each business remains responsible for its own compliance.

Made by Vertex Summit

Mezbaan is a product of Vertex Summit. Vertex Summit builds and runs the Mezbaan platform, looks after support and issues its subscription invoices.

A note from our founder

“Owners in this business remember their guests by name and their numbers by heart. What they rarely have is time. Registers, WhatsApp groups and three different apps eat their evenings, and the team at the front desk and in the kitchen gets blamed for gaps the tools created.

We built Mezbaan so owners and their teams can work from one account they all rely on: every bill in its place, every figure explained, and Munshi ready to answer in the language you speak.

Our promise is simple: we listen, we build what you need, and we stand behind it. You focus on being the host. We will take care of the numbers.”
