A restaurant bill reaches the right folio
Before anything posts to a room, Mezbaan checks the room number, the guest’s surname or last four phone digits, an active stay, an open folio and the credit limit. Once WhatsApp is connected, the guest can also confirm with a code.
- Nothing moves to the folio until every check passes.
- The goal: zero room-charge mismatches at checkout.
- A permanent activity log records who posted what, and when, so every charge is easy to trace.

The restaurant bill counts as restaurant revenue when it closes. The folio carries only a transfer the guest owes, so checkout collects it without adding revenue again.
- One checkout statement for the guest, with the hotel invoice and each restaurant invoice listed separately.
- Each unit issues its own GST invoice, from rules you configure with your accountant.
- Room-charge transfers are reconciled on the Finance dashboard: cleared, still open, or returned as unpaid.
