Mezbaan
For Chartered Accountants

Hotel and restaurant clients whose books close cleanly

When a client runs on Mezbaan, every unit issues GST invoices in its own series, room charges are counted once, the month can be closed, and exports land in Tally or Zoho Books. Month-end and GST work starts from clean data instead of three registers.

What a CA gets

Built so your client’s month closes quickly

Everything below is in Mezbaan today, in every edition.

Accountant access

  • Own sign-in for your CA, added and removed by the owner
  • Two-step verification required for the Accountant role
  • Financial reports, folios, expenses and exports in one place
  • Support staff see nothing without the owner’s approval, and every view is logged

GST-ready invoices

  • GST invoices per property, outlet and counter, each in its own series
  • Tax rules set by property, outlet and item, with dated changes
  • GST sales register
  • Offline counters reserve number blocks, so the series stays unbroken

Exports in your formats

  • Tally XML
  • Zoho Books journal CSV
  • CSV files that open in Excel, behind every dashboard figure
  • Printable GST invoices

Clean audit trail

  • Voids, discounts, refunds and setting changes with who and when
  • Manager PIN approvals recorded
  • Tamper-evident, hash-chained activity log

Period close

  • Month close with a checklist and a frozen snapshot
  • Figures move from Estimated to final
  • Only the owner can reopen a closed month, with a reason

Munshi for accountants

  • Collections by payment method
  • Outstanding dues on open folios
  • Expenses by category, and profit by month
  • Every answer with its period, figures and working

GST rates, thresholds, invoice rules and e-invoicing settings are configured per business and confirmed with the business’s CA. Mezbaan does not hardcode them.

Why recommend it

Less reconstruction, more review

  1. 01

    Invoices you can trust

One GST invoice series per unit and counter, unbroken even when a counter bills offline.

  2. 02

    Revenue counted once

A dinner charged to a room stays restaurant revenue; the folio records a transfer. No double-counted sales to unpick.

  3. 03

    A month that stays closed

Period close freezes the figures; reopening needs the owner and a reason, and is logged.

FAQ

Questions from accountants

Does Mezbaan decide GST rates for my client?

No. Tax rules are set per property, outlet and item, and the settings are confirmed with the business’s accountant during setup. Nothing about rates is fixed in the software.

Which formats can I import?

Tally XML, a Zoho Books journal CSV, a GST sales register and CSV files that open in Excel. Test an import on a copy of the company first.

Can figures change after I close a month?

A closed month keeps a frozen snapshot. Only the owner can reopen it, and a reason is recorded.
